What is maxq?

maxq is a tycoon game about running a small orbital freight port. You station chibi rockets on launch pads, sign them to contracts, and take a cut every time one lands. Safer contracts pay steadily; the risky ones pay more and sometimes cost you a booster.

Flights run on real time, not game ticks. Close the tab, come back after lunch, and the port hands you an away report: what flew, what landed, what got lost, and what it earned. Milestones, solar storms, contract surges and a wandering ground crew keep the floor alive.

Buying things is real: shuttles, pads, upgrades and crew are paid in BNB from your MetaMask wallet on BNB Smart Chain. You start with a free Kestrel 9 already flying, and everything your fleet earns is tracked as your port's score — it isn't a token and can't be withdrawn.

How it works

Station a shuttle

Every pad can hold one shuttle. Start with the Kestrel 9 and work up to the Starhopper.

Fly contracts

Pick a contract per pad: safe and steady, or risky and rich. Flights run on real time.

Collect on landing

Every landing drops BNB on the pad. Come back after hours away and an away report is waiting.

The fleet

Kestrel 9

0.6 BNB

0.05–0.09 BNB a flight, 20–30s missions, gentle risk. The port's steady heartbeat.

Kestrel Heavy

2.4 BNB

0.22–0.36 BNB a flight on 40–55s missions. Three cores, twice the wind.

Starhopper

9 BNB

0.85–1.40 BNB a flight, 75–100s hauls. Narrow margins, top pay.

The wallet

1

Connect MetaMask

One click in the header. maxq runs on BNB Smart Chain and switches the network for you.

2

Buy with BNB

Every purchase — shuttles, pads, upgrades, crew, repairs — is a normal MetaMask payment. It lands the moment the transaction confirms.

The fleet does the rest

Your fleet flies contracts around the clock and every landing adds to your port's earnings score.

Straight answer on what's real: purchases are real BNB transactions to the port's address, and they are not refundable. What your fleet earns is a score inside the game — not a token, not withdrawable, no yield. Spend on the game because it's fun, not as an investment.

A living port

Crew on the floor

Chibi ground crew wander the hall, gossip in emotes, and celebrate paydays.

Wrecks happen

Every contract carries risk. Lose a booster on entry and the wreck waits for repairs.

Upgrades that matter

Engines shorten flights. Heat shields cut losses. Auto-collect keeps the money moving.

Milestones and events

Contract surges, solar storms, surprise visitors, and a logbook of goals to chase.

Questions

Is this real BNB?
Purchases are. When you buy a shuttle, pad, upgrade or crew member, MetaMask sends actual BNB on BNB Smart Chain to the port's address, and that payment isn't refundable. What your fleet earns is a score the game keeps — not a token, and it can't be withdrawn. Earnings are gameplay, not yield.
Do I need a wallet to play?
You can watch your free starter Kestrel 9 fly and collect without one. Buying anything — more shuttles, pads, upgrades, crew — needs MetaMask connected, because purchases are real BNB payments.
Where does my save live?
In your browser's storage, on your device. No account, no server. Each wallet you connect runs its own separate port, and playing without a wallet uses a local one. Browsers can evict storage if a site goes unvisited for a long stretch, so use the export button in the port panel to keep a backup code.
Do flights really continue while I'm away?
Yes. Flights are timestamped, so closing the tab doesn't pause them. When you return, landings are settled and an away report tells you what happened.
Is it free?
Starting is. You get two open pads and a Kestrel 9 already flying contracts. Growing past that — bigger shuttles, more pads, upgrades, crew — costs real BNB.
